Fund Raising
Krishna Janamashthami Appeal Fund
On the birthday of Lord Krishna in 2006, GHU launched a special fund raising initiative seeking individuals and business community support. The aim being to raise £800,000 for the purchase of Three Acre plot of land at Appletree Farm to build the Sanatan Mandir and Community Centre (SMCC).
In total we need to raise £3.99 million to build SMCC in Crawley, £0.9M to buy the land and £3.09M for construction of Mandir, Community Hall and the car park.
The aim of the Janamashthami Apple Fund is to raise £800,000 for the land by inviting 2,000 members to dedicate £400 each to celebrate or remember a special day such as an anniversary, birthday, engagement, wedding or a special person in your life who is living or departed. Your donation will be used to purchase the land and your important contribution will be recognised on a special board displayed in a prominent place in the Centre.
We are seeking your help and support to raise these funds. We have broken down the total cost of the site by 2,000 donors. With each donor contributing £400, our aim is to collect £800,000 for the purchase of the land. We have already had tremendous support from local people. We will be grateful if you would please participate in this worthy cause. In return we will engrave your names on a plaque in the new building for the present and future generation to view remember and to get inspiration to promote Hinduism in the same way as you had done.
